Mark Allen is an AI executive and builder with more than two decades of experience turning new technology into working products — much of it for banks, credit unions, and other regulated organizations.
As Chief Technology Officer and then Chief Product and Innovations Officer at Altigen Communications (2020–2025), Mark led a 70-person engineering and product organization across five countries, re-architecting a legacy telephony suite into a modern, AI-driven SaaS platform for banks and credit unions. He also sourced and managed the integration of two strategic acquisitions.
Before that, Mark founded and led Blue Panda Communications, which raised multimillion-dollar funding and built coreInteract — a serverless, multi-channel customer-engagement platform on Microsoft Azure. The product earned a Microsoft keynote slot and was later acquired as IP. Earlier still, he ran Prometheus Networks, deploying some of the earliest Microsoft Hyper-V cloud environments, and led global hosted-UC go-to-market at OBT Anywhere.
Mark has built banking-grade solutions designed around regulatory requirements such as FFIEC, SEC, and HIPAA, and in 2025 he hosted and spoke at the AI Unleashed Conference in Salt Lake City, an AI strategy summit for C-suite leaders.
Today he still builds. His current work includes an AI compliance and agreement-oversight platform for banking and fintech (a working early version), Overture, an AI-assisted product delivery control plane now in active build, and HomeBrain, a home automation and voice system. Building these systems himself is how he learns where AI works, where it breaks, and what it takes to govern it.
